At the Great Salt Lake

At the Great Salt Lake

Today I visited the Great Salt Lake for the first time. It was quite interesting. I had never seen salt flats before and they were absolutely huge. I walked to the water and touched it. It definatly felt thicker. On the salt flats there were no plants just dead tumble weeds and rotting birds so it was a little stinky. It looks like they're putting in a shower area for people who swim can shower but I'm not sure if I would have the stomach for it. I hear it really dries you out and I'm dehydrated anyway. I bet it'd be neat to float in it once though. Maybe I'll try someday; especially knowing there are showers.

I also had the chance to visit Temple Square in Salt Lake City. So check out my flickr page for more of the Great Salt Lake and Temple Square.
